Ever heard of Hanafuda cards? They are gorgeous traditional Japanese playing cards featuring beautiful artwork based on the months of the year. In fact, Hanafuda cards were Nintendo's main product when they began in 1889. The term "Koi-Koi" comes from a game played with these cards, and is uttered when a player wants to continue the round and potentially win more points. It means "come on!"
This phrase "Koi-koi" became a household staple for us. We use it to encourage us to do hard things, to take a risk, or to double down on a decision. It's only fitting that our small-business venture would take on the name.
As long-time stationery nerds, we loved the idea of getting to share our hobby with the world. Japanese stationery has always been top quality, and after getting to explore Japan and its many stationery shops we decided to make the leap and open our own here in Florida.
Our products are meticulously tested, and you can be sure that if it's on our shelves, it's the best we can get! We started with a small selection, mostly based on our own collection and preferences. As the shop grows, we are so excited to learn what our customers like and offer you even more variety!
No, we are online-only as of now. Keep an eye out for news as we prepare to hit markets and do pop-up shops here in Florida!
Your tracking number will be included in the email we send you when your order ships out.
We started with our own collection of items we love. As we add more products, we test them vigorously to ensure you're only getting the best!
This depends on where you live and which shipping option you choose. We are a small business and there are only two of us, so please be patient! We will send you a notification as soon as your order ships.
